MONTREAL – A bike ghost was installed Friday morning at the corner of Bélanger and 6th Avenue, in the borough of Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie, Montreal, to honour the memory of Meryem Ânoun.
The single mother of 41-year-old was caught fatally by a truck at this location on July 14.
Family and relatives of the disappeared attended this event. In addition to the bike phantom, wreaths of flowers were also deposited at this location.
A bicycle phantom is a bike painted white-deposited to the exact spot where a cyclist died. This is the sixth bike ghost to be installed in Montreal since 2013.
