SHERBROOKE | A 11-year old child managed to escape from his school, Monday, after a dispute with other students, which has aroused the wrath of his parents.

Alexis was about to leave the school to board his school bus when a fracas broke out between him and a classmate. A staff member would then be prevented from boarding. “I wanted to ride, but he didn’t want to. I decided to get away to go join my parents,” said Alexis to VAT New.

The school board has stated that a staff member had taken the child and that the police were notified 15 minutes after he had taken the leak. However, his mother holds, rather, that his son was alone when he was found.

“We can’t let go of a child of 11 years as it is saying “this is not too serious,”” she said the father of Alexis.

The child suffers from aphasia and a disorder diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity and impulsivity, according to his parents.

The school board of Sherbrooke has not wanted to comment on this case stating that the record Alexis is confidential. However, the agency has indicated that a protector of the pupil, therefore, an independent entity, has been tasked to shed light on the events.
