SAINT-LIN–LAURENTIDES | Five people were injured, including two seriously, in a collision involving three vehicles that occurred Saturday afternoon in Saint-Lin–Laurentides in the Lanaudière region.

The accident occurred around 13 h on a curve of route 158. According to the first elements of the investigation, one or two vehicles were trespassing the median line, which would have caused a head-on collision. A third vehicle was also involved after that. It was raining at the time of the collision.

In total, five people were transported to a hospital centre and, in the case of two persons, the jaws of life were needed to remove them from their unfortunate position. We did not fear for their lives, in the middle of the afternoon.

In order to allow the towing and the cleaning of the floor, a portion of the road had to be closed in the early afternoon.
