A cyclist of 18 years old succumbs to his injuries in Montreal

MONTREAL – Hit by a car, Wednesday afternoon, at the foot of mount Royal, in Montreal, a cyclist of 18 years has finally succumbed to his injuries in the evening.
According to initial information available, the cyclist was travelling south on the chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine. A car which is steered in the same direction attempted to make a turn and the driver would not have insight into the bike.
Under the force of the impact, the rider was thrown heavily to the ground.
He was transported to the hospital to treat serious injuries, where his death was recorded in the course of the evening.
As for the driver of the car, a 59 year old man, he was not injured.
The Camilien-Houde road was closed to traffic between the chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine and the chemin Remembrance.
