SHERBROOKE | A patrimonial building of the rue Dufferin, Sherbrooke, has been in flames for the second time since the month of April, on Wednesday morning.

It is a déneigeur who has contacted the emergency services at around 5: 17 after he had seen flames coming out of the building. He quickly called for help.

It is a commercial building located at 256 rue Dufferin, which is on fire. The building housed, among others, the Bar le Magog, the Bistro Les Beaux Dimanches and the Duplessis Café Bistro, but since the first fire, the premises were vacant.

Firefighters are still on site and fight the fire. According to witnesses, the fire had spread on two floors, up to the roof. And the building would have collapsed. It would be a total loss.

The streets Dufferin and Abenaki are closed to traffic for an indefinite period of time.
