A former mayor, Gaspé has just been reprimanded for having used the vehicle of the Town to do his shopping during a storm, and have asked municipal staff to come and collect his garbage near his house.

The advisers of the small municipality of Cloridorme have filed a complaint against Marc Caron at the Commission municipale du Québec last January, while the latter was still mayor.

He was accused of having committed 13 violations of the code of ethics of the City, which have opened to the public in a cottage which was still under construction, having accused employee of theft and fraud without proof and have denigrated the advisors in the media after only three months in office.

As there was lack of evidence, the judge Thierry Usclat, however, has dismissed most of the allegations against Mr. Caron.

The Commission has agreed to investigate three issues that have been raised in the complaint, including the fact that the mayor is said to have left the snow in the center of a municipal road in order to impair the employee’s removal.

Marc Caron, was recognized on Thursday, have committed two of the violations that he was accused.

He confessed to having asked the town inspector to come and pick up his waste near his home rather than at the edge of the path in 2016. He has also admitted to having used a vehicle of the municipality for personal purposes in December of the same year.

Given the admission of guilt of Mr. Caron, the Commission has terminated the investigation with respect to the snow deposited on the road to bother an employee.
