A man in his eighties found lifeless in his apartment burnt down

    Firefighters found the lifeless body of a man in his eighties in his apartment after he had been the prey of flames in a fire which took birth in the Bakery Guizot, during the night of Monday to Tuesday, in the district of Villeray, in Montreal.

    The emergency call was received at about 1: 30 by the fire brigade quickly arrived on the rue Guizot close to the boulevard Saint-Laurent. The body of the lady of 88 years old has been discovered in the rubble around 3: 30 a.m. once the fire has been controlled.

    The building in flames has three floors, the bakery occupies the first two apartments share each of the other two floors.

    Firefighters had to evacuate the building since the fire quickly spread to the homes located above the trade.

    In a building adjacent, the fire had to evacuate two other apartments.

    In total, more than a dozen people were in the street.

    The fire Department of the City of Montréal (SIM) has sent 110 soldiers to control the blaze. “With the cold weather that prevails, there must be a succession team.
