A man from Saint-Zacharie lost his life after a head-on collision occurred around 4: 15 a.m. on route 472 in Saint-Côme-Linière, in the region of Beauce-Sartigan.

The driver of the car, seriously injured, has unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

Two vehicles, including a van, were involved in this major collision.

“The arrival of the police, the driver of the pickup truck was not on the scene, but he was located by the result,” said Louis-Philippe Bibeau, a spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.

The driver of the pickup truck, a man of 25 years old, was transported to the hospital to treat minor injuries. It is under the supervision of the police and a blood sample was requested. “The alcohol might be involved,” said the spokesperson.

Route 275 has been closed to traffic, the time of the survey, and the drivers must take a detour through the small local streets.
