The journalist of Radio-Canada, Valerie-Micaela Bain, has not had it easy on Friday, during his live reporting of Osheaga.

Thirty seconds after he started his account of the first day of the festival, a man approached her and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

Valerie-Micaela Bain was immediately pushed back with his arm, and then, with a quiet copy, she continued her story.

The journalist has since posted a long message on his page in Facebook in which it says it wants to find this individual, so that justice demonstrates that his actions were unacceptable.

“To you who think that you can get in my bubble and dare to kiss me while I’m on the air, you who dared to think that I would handle not; clearly you do not know who you are dealing with […] Fear not, I have confidence in the power of social media and the police to find you. You don’t give me embrasserais not if you I met in the street, and this is not suddenly acceptable because I’m a woman in front of a camera on live tv.”

The publication of Valérie-Micaela Bain has been shared by more than 2,800 people on Facebook.

The message of the journalist is clear : “Kissing someone without their consent, it is not.”
