LONGUEUIL | A bad mom has been sentenced to seven years in prison, Monday, for having “hired” her daughter to a suspected paedophile who allegedly sexually abused her, reported the Mail from the South.
Marc Clermont
The Longueuilloise, who cannot be identified to preserve the anonymity of her child, offered her daughter, now nine-year-old to the alleged paedophile Marc Clermont in exchange for a fee. She had acknowledged the facts in November last at the time of pleading guilty, at the palais de justice de Longueuil.
The facts allegedly occurred over a period ranging from 2013 to 2017. The first assault would have occurred while the girl was only six years old.
According to the Mail of the south, the mother, who worked as a sex worker herself, told the court that Clermont was one of his regular customers. One day, he was offered a sum of $ 140 to the mother to be able to take advantage of his daughter, an amount that she could not refuse.
In addition to having hired his daughter to the alleged pedophile, the mother was found to have, on a few occasions, obstructed its movement to facilitate its operation.
Since she has remained incarcerated since his arrest in march last by the police de Longueuil, the mother will only have five years and ten months in prison to be served.
The young victim is now living in a foster family and is followed by a psychologist.
For its part, the alleged pedophile should be back in court on February 21 next. Since his arrest, which occurred at the same time as that of the mother, the other two potential victims came forward, accusing him of assault committed in the 90’s.
