QUEBEC-The Parti québécois, if he were to take power on the 1st of October next, would put an end to the contract of Robert Lafrenière, the head of the Unité permanente anticorruption (UPAC).
This is what was stated by the leader of the PQ, Jean-François Lisée, during a media scrum Wednesday morning.
Mr. Lisée, however, refuses to demand the resignation of Mr. Lafrenière today.
“It will be the time to change. The liberal government seems to want to keep it until the 1st of October; it is very good. Me, I give notice that there will be a new commissioner of UPAC, designated two-thirds of the national Assembly, when the Parti québécois is in power,” he said during his meeting with the journalists.
