A Quebec of 23 years is dead in the mountains after a fall from thirty meters, Tuesday, in British Columbia, reported Global News on Thursday.

The young woman, whose identity has not been revealed, was a hike to the mount Gimli in the provincial park Valhalla when the tragedy happened, at around 15 pm local time.

According to Global News, the victim was accompanied by two friends at the time of the facts.

For some unknown reason, the young woman fell of a cliff. The fall proved to be fatal.

His friends have left each of them aside to try and get help. Teams of rescuers have been dispatched to the scene, but it was too late in their arrival.

A coroner’s inquest has been opened.
