A retired military man from Halifax, Nova Scotia, is facing five charges, including two of sexual assault against another member of the canadian armed Forces.
The facts which are alleged against Andrew Durnford would have occurred between January 2010 and September 2011, when “he was assigned to the Her Majesty’s canadian Ship Toronto”, commented the armed Forces by way of a press release on Thursday.
Master warrant officer retired is facing charges of sexual assault, of assault, conduct to the prejudice of good order and discipline, and ill-treatment of a subordinate.
The case now follows its course in accordance with the system of military justice and could be the subject of a court martial on a date and in a place still yet to be determined.
