A seller of fir trees that has installed his trade in the parking lot of a bar trimmers in the region of Richelieu, in the Montérégie region, has received a wave of support to its customers despite its location unexpectedly.

Sylvain Bourdeau is well known in the region of Richelieu. The one that sells christmas trees to the locals for several years has had this winter install his trade in the parking lot of a bar to trimmers and poker, “the only commercial location free of Richelieu”, he explains in a publication on Facebook.

If he mentions having been the target of teasing and meanness because of his decision, he prefers to speak of the solidarity of the residents, who have continued to support its trade in spite of its unusual location.

“I wanted to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the amazing support and solidarity that I got from everyone,” writes M. Bourdeau.

The merchant indicates that a dozen days of Christmas, he must come a fourth trip fir to meet the demand. But it is the reaction of the population which is affecting the most.

“I can guarantee you that families come in large numbers, and the comments are more hilarious than the others! A little girl of 5-6 years old said out of the auto: “Good we just buy a fir tree in the fairy of the star naked! (they have shirts on the sign!)”

And of course, many have not failed to make the connection with the film christmas classic “The christmas tree has balls”!

A valued citizen

And the inhabitants have not failed to note that Sylvain Bourdeau deserves this solidarity, who sells christmas trees for 41 years.

The main concerned is grateful for this “return of the pendulum”.

“I tried to be a good citizen who was there for others and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this magnificent return of the pendulum, he writes. I know why selling christmas trees is my passion over the last 41 years! For all of the love that I feel in the core of my customer base! To all of you and all who have demonstrated a true spirit of Christmas!”
