NAPIERVILLE | A seventy-year-old caught by a vehicle at Napierville on Wednesday night was fighting for his life in the middle of the evening.
The accident happened on Church street, at the corner of the rue Saint-Martin. The victim was crossing the street vis-à-vis a crossing pedestrian when the collision occurred, said Stéphane Tremblay, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.
The pedestrian was transported to a hospital, where doctors feared for his life.
The driver of the vehicle, a man, remained on scene and was able to be met by the investigators. No criminal element would not be involved in this accident, ” said Mr. Tremblay.
Church street was closed to traffic, the time to allow the investigators to analyze the scene of the accident. A reconstructionist at the scene of a collision has been sent to the site.
