A seventy-year-old seriously injured in a collision in Montreal

    A woman 78-year-old was seriously injured Sunday afternoon, after a collision in the borough of Rivière-des-Prairies, Montréal.

    The victim, a woman of 78 years old, was trying to cross the boulevard Rodolphe-Forget, at the intersection of boulevard Maurice-Duplessis, when a vehicle making a right turn was snapped up shortly after noon, explained the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

    The pedestrian was conscious at the time of his transportation to the hospital, but his condition worsened on his arrival in hospital. The doctors feared for his life in the early after-noon, but his condition has stabilized in the early evening.

    The driver, a man of 31 years old, was not injured.
