    Look at this article

A cyberprédateur that has lured nearly 300 minor everywhere in Quebec could soon be declared a long term offender, as recommended by a psychiatrist.

“[Philippe Truchon] present a moderate to high-risk of recurrence of violence, including sexual violence, and this, over an extended period of time, ” says Dr. Alexandre Dumais, in a report made public Friday.

Truchon, 37 years old, is a “likely” sadistic sex that borders on psychopathy. A sentence of three years imprisonment in 2011 for 285 victims in a few months, does not appear to have calmed down. Barely out of prison, he has recurred in five new victims.

His modus operandi was always the same. It dealt with minors on the internet under a pseudonym such as ” Phil Lawrie “, offered a job, and then began to ask questions up close and personal.

    Threats

He could also request photos of a sexual nature, and he was threatening them when they refused.

In one case, he had insulted a victim in terms that little bit of praise, and then had threatened to kidnap her and rape her for a month. He then wanted to force her to fall addicted to drugs ” to ensure that it will stay thin “.

Another victim, he assured them that he would ” make her so evil that she’s going to want that he kills her “, one can read in a compendium of facts filed before the court on Friday.

“[Truchon], without the implementation of control measures, presents a high risk of recurrence, ” says the psychiatrist at the Institut Philippe-Pinel.

    To control

It is for these reasons that the Crown prosecutor, Roxane Laporte, requested a sentence of five years ‘ penitentiary for the more recent crimes of the cyberprédateur.

But once the sentence was served, the Crown also wants Truchon be declared a long term offender, and that, for the maximum period of 10 years. Thus, even when it will be out of the walls of the prison, he will remain under close monitoring.

Truchon has not seemed surprised when the judge Manon Ouimet has made him part of the sentence requested by the Crown. He will meet with his lawyer, Louis Morena, in the next few days, in order to determine whether to object to the request that he be declared a long term offender.

It will give its response next month, during a hearing at the palais de justice of Montreal.
