SAINT-LAZARE station | A small plane with three people aboard crashed late Saturday afternoon in Saint-Lazare, Montérégie.
It is on a private ground of the chemin Saint-Louis as the small aircraft touched the ground at 16 h 20. The unit has finished its run in the trees and has not caught fire, said the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
An hour after the accident, the SQ said that two people had not been able to get out of the device, while a third individual had managed to get out by himself. The latter suffered minor injuries.
“The firefighters were able to extricate the two other men of the unit. They have serious injuries, but are conscious,” said Christine Coulombe, spokesperson for the SQ. They were transported to a hospital.
Investigators will be on-site to determine the circumstances of the accident.
