A snowmobile driver in his fifties died Saturday afternoon after a spinout in a trail of federated located in Laurierville in the Centre-du-Québec.

The accident occurred at about 13 h and the lady was travelling alone on his craft, but in the company of two other snowmobilers.

“She lost control in a part where there was a lowering of the surface traffic, due to an entry of a path giving access to the trail federated. There was little snow at this place,” said the spokesman of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), and Claude Denis.

The circumstances of the accident are not clear to the hour, but the snowmobile and its driver would not have finished their course against a tree.

The other two snowmobilers had to be encountered by investigators to clarify the circumstances of the tragedy.

A coroner will look at this snowmobile accident.
