SHERBROOKE | Forty-six per cent of the road network of Sherbrooke is in a bad state or in a very bad state. This is what emerges from the most recent annual report of the state roads of Sherbrooke.

To carry out the work, which require an immediate response, the City of Sherbrooke should invest a minimum of $ 100 million. For comparative purposes, the road network of Sherbrooke is in a poor condition as the one in Montreal.

“Overall, the state of the highways has deteriorated over the past five years and, despite our investment of $ 10 million per year,” said Caroline Gravel, director of urban infrastructure. To succeed in maintaining its infrastructure, the City should invest $ 23 million annually.

These recent data have been compiled using a truck multi-function, used in 2016 and 2017.
