MONTREAL – A vehicle was the target of an arson attack, in the night from Wednesday to Thursday, in the borough of Montréal-Nord.
The fire broke out around 2 a.m., while the van was parked in the private driveway of a residence located on avenue Salk, near the boulevard Henri-Bourassa.
Firefighters were quickly able to subdue the blaze, but the vehicle is a total loss.
The property has suffered from light damage, indicated by the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), who considers the fire as a criminal.
The vehicle was towed to an expertise. The investigation has been transferred to investigators of the arson strike force by the SPVM.
No arrest has been made for the moment in this case.
