LOCHABER | A motorist, a 29-year-old has lost his life in a head-on collision between two cars occurred on Saturday morning, in Lochaber, in Outaouais.

3 am in the morning, a motorist 26-year-old travelling on the road 148 in the direction is deflected in the left lane and sideswiped a car that was coming in the opposite direction.

The motorist, 29 years old, was first taken to hospital in a critical condition. His death was later found on Saturday morning.

The passenger of the driver, 28-year-old, is out of danger. The driver a 26-year-old was also taken to the hospital for serious injuries.

“We have no idea for the moment why she had deviated from its path, we came to no conclusion for the moment,” said sergeant Claude Denis of the Sûreté du Québec.

The emergency services have had to use the jaws of life to remove the occupants from their vehicle respective. The accident caused the closure of highway 148 in both directions on Saturday morning.
