A woman assaulted with a knife in Hochelaga

MONTREAL – A woman of 31 years has been the victim of armed aggression, in the night from Friday to Saturday, in the borough of Mercier-Hochelaga Maisonneuve in Montreal.
The assault occurred shortly after midnight at the corner of Baldwin and Grosbois.
According to initial information, the victim was walking on the rue de Grosbois when a man would come from behind, placing a knife under the throat of the woman and the threatening.
“The victim would have shouted and it is at this time that the suspect allegedly assaulted him before fleeing,” said Andrée-Anne Picard, a spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
“She does not know the suspect. She described him as a man with white skin, aged in their twenties with dark hair. He spoke French during the aggression,” says Andrée-Anne Picard.
The victim was transported to a hospital. It is not known the state of his health.
A perimeter has been erected. Investigators as well as units canines were on the scene in order to learn this assault and attempt to locate the suspect.
