    It is surprise and dismay at Lévis, near the apartment where a man allegedly killed his wife with a knife on Friday night. According to several neighbors, there was no hint of such a drama in the residence of the couple located on rue Saint-Georges.

    Pierre Gagné-Boily, 33 years old, appeared by video conference at the palace of justice of Quebec yesterday, where he was accused of the murder of Mary-Lisa Desbiens, 30 years.

    According to several neighbors and the owner of the building, the two individuals were a couple and lived in this dwelling for several years.

    “The woman would have been wounded fatally with a knife,” said Christine Coulombe, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ). The SQ is conducting the investigation jointly with the police Department of the City of Lévis (SPVL). This is the first murder of the year in Lévis, where this kind of crime is extremely rare.

    The call was first made to 20 h at SPVL. On their arrival, the police kicked down the front door of the apartment to find the lifeless body of the woman. His death was recorded in the hospital.

    Won-Boily was arrested, and interrogated in the night by investigators of the investigation Department on the crimes against the person of SQ.

    Couple without history

    In the morning, it was a misunderstanding in the neighborhood. Interviewed by The Newspaper, all emphasized how much the couple who lived in the apartment was ” quiet “.

    “It is in the nothingness. I don’t know what to say. These are people who still paid their rent, it’s weird, ” expressed the owner of the building of six housing units, Francis Godbout.

    “It was a guy although a quiet, lady like, I don’t understand how is it that a business of the same arrive, said another neighbor, Laurent Picard. But we don’t always know what’s happening inside, ” he observed.

    A resident of the same block, who preferred not to be identified, said, however, to have found the spouse concerned when he greeted about two hours before the police arrived. “He was a good guy, they were always together,” he commented.

    According to information collected by The Newspaper, the victim would be a native of La Malbaie, and occupied a position in the public service in the Quebec city region.

    Pierre Gagné-Boily will remain detained until his next court appearance on September 6.
