    A young man of age minor has been arrested, on Monday evening, after having been seen by witnesses with a machete in a bus shelter in the transport Network of the Capital.

    “Witnesses saw a man wielding a machete in a bus shelter. He hid it in his pants and boarded a bus,” says Cindy Paré, a spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Québec (SPVQ).

    Patrol officers quickly located the young man and proceeded to his arrest at the corners of the street of the Seminar and of the chemin Sainte-Foy, in the sector of Laval University, to 21h38.

    “It has not been very collaborator,” said the spokesperson.

    Several items remain to be clarified concerning the circumstances of the event.

    The individual was released on a promise to appear. To this day, the only charge known is that of breach of probation.
