A long rehabilitation awaits the victim of the accident in which is involved the facilitator Martin Pouliot, who has been accused of driving under the influence Monday. A situation that denounces greatly the spouse of the 37 year old woman.

“I can’t believe that in 2017, with all the resources that one has, it still happens,” growls the spouse of the victim of the accident.

The man has preferred to conceal his identity.

The mother of the family had just finished his shift as a driver for the réseau de transport de la capitale (RTC). “She had just had her tenure at the RTC, it was not even a week. She had started working there about three months,” he explains.

Long rehabilitation

Although the life of the mother boys, aged 5 and 6 years old is no longer threatened, a very long rehabilitation awaits him.

“It’s going very badly, she is traumatized. She is broken, torn. She is conscious, but, ravaged, grieves her spouse. She had a tear of the diaphragm under the force of the impact. Her stomach is found where are its lungs”, he explains.

The woman must undergo an intervention Friday for the hip.

“She suffers a lot. It does not have the right to drink, to eat, and she can’t move,” he continued.

Marked forever

Her spouse believes she will recover, but it will remain marked forever. “The legacy that it will retain are mostly psychological. She can’t sleep more than two minutes. She wakes up suddenly and when she sleeps a bit, she moans, she cries, she moves, and it trembles”, lists the father of the family.

According to him, his spouse has no memory of the event.

“She has not seen anything go. At the speed he was going… and it’s not over, it has not seen anything. It has not even slowed down. I went to the scene of the accident and there was no trace of braking”, he laments.

Invited to the microphone to Dominic Maurais at CHOI Radio X, the spouse of the victim added, considering the accident that caused Martin Pouliot with impaired faculties, “assault army”.
