LONGUEUIL – An agreement in principle is reached for the renewal of the collective labour agreement of the police of Longueuil.

“The agreement came after intensified discussions at the bargaining table, will avoid arbitration, said the City of Longueuil in a press release. It will also mark the return of the wearing of the regulation uniform of the police, and this gradually starting today (Monday).”

The agreement must now be ratified by the members of the Fraternité des policiers et policières de Longueuil as well as by the agglomeration council of Longueuil.

“By then, the parties have agreed not to disclose any element of the agreement and the City of Longueuil will not issue further comments,” stated the municipal administration.
