The story of this mother of four children from the South Shore of Montreal has moved to Quebec in June last.
On June 11, her husband Joshua Fortin, 35, was taking part in a race in Sainte-Catherine, in Montérégie, when it collapsed three kilometres from the finish. The rescue could do nothing to save him and Sandra Griffin was left alone, wondering how to pursue their dreams with his children.
A few weeks after the tragic event, the young widow wished to write a message of thanks touching.
“I thank you sincerely for the support that I have received on my page and by message following the death of my husband last June,” writes the nutritionist on Facebook.
Well surrounded
Fortunately, the 34 year old woman claims to be able to count on the support of his family and loved ones. “My children and I are going well, we spend time as a family with grandparents, cousins, uncles and aunts. We are very well supported and we do a lot of activities. It does not remove the penalty, but it prevents us from constantly thinking about their dad who is gone much too soon. I wish you a nice day and see you soon.”
Ms. Griffin, who is self-employed, account a gradual return to work. “[…] I will come back as before, with my soul sister in less” it announced to its subscribers. Before the return to school, some thousands of the faithful followers of the page Mom eats well will be able to find the advice of the mother of four children.
