    An alleged fraudster who specialized in the crimes in the casinos, and was arrested at the Casino de Charlevoix at the end of the month of June.

    Yujin Wu, an Australian 22-year-old had developed a ploy of cheating, allowing him to obtain large sums in gambling establishments he visited.

    The security of the Casino de Charlevoix has, however, been alerted by the suspicious behaviour of the individual during his visits.

    The suspect arrived at the casino on two occasions between 9 and 22 June, in the newer section of the hotel. His mistake was to come back a second time to the same place, because the security had already identified.

    The suspect was interested, and played the electronic roulette. The alleged fraudster would have managed to outwit the computer.

    An investigation was promptly opened at the Casino de Charlevoix, and the young man was arrested.

    The room he had rented at the hotel was also raided, and some thousands of dollars were seized.

    The individual would have raged in other casinos around the world. He faces in Quebec to three charges, two of fraud.

    He is currently detained pending further proceedings.
