An alleged thief attacked in Montreal-Nord

    MONTREAL – A man was in a critical condition at the hospital Sunday after being badly injured by a sharp object in a convenience store of Montréal-Nord in the early evening.

    Known to the police, the man 28-year-old was struck in the back. Police are investigating the thesis that he was wounded in attempting to commit a robbery in a convenience store in boulevard Langelier, located just north of boulevard Maurice-Duplessis.

    The police found blood on the street a few meters away around 18: 30.

    The clerk in the convenience store, then was arrested by the police Department of the City of Montreal. This man, 39-year-old could face charges of assault with a weapon.

    The Montreal police has sent investigators to the scene to try to understand what happened.
