In an interview with Paul Arcand on the Cogeco network, Eric Dufresne, an economist specializing in natural resources, has shown that the petrol stations did not comply with the free market in Montreal.

Much to the chagrin of
oil, he did not mince its words in order to question the cycles of fluctuation of the price that he has estimated too perfect.

It also stated that this situation is particular to the island of Montreal and that the phenomenon of agreement between the retailers has not been observed elsewhere in the province.
