MONTREAL | The third time will be the good? Andrés Fontecilla will be the candidate for Québec solidaire, for the third time in Laurier-Dorion in the elections of the next October 1st.

Mr. Fontecilla, who is originally from Chile, has been appointed on Thursday evening by the members of the district of montreal. Hind Fazazi and Marie-Michèle Baril-Dionne were also in the race.

The former president and spokesperson of Québec solidaire intends to dislodge the independent mna Gerry Sklavounos, who has been expelled from the caucus of the Quebec liberal Party following allegations of a sexual nature.

“After a decade, the balance sheet of Gerry Sklavounos and of the liberal Party in Laurier-Dorion is overwhelming. The local people deserve an mp who is standing to improve our quality of life, and not someone who plays hide-and-seek with his fellow and his fellow citizens. Today, we send them a clear message: the next generation is here! Andrés is the only candidate who can win against the liberals in 2018, and to give to Laurier-Dorion in a loud voice, and incorporates into the national Assembly,” said Manon Massé, a spokesperson of Québec solidaire.

“Since already 20 years old, I work in this constituency. I worked there and lived for years. I know its people, the diversity of its origins, its problems but also the solutions that are required,” said for his part, Andrés Fontecilla.
