A second woman has been accused of murder in a little over a week in Montreal. Fact rare, whereas last year, only four homicides would have been committed by a person of the female sex in all of Quebec.
On Monday evening, Francine Valley, 52, allegedly stabbed to death his spouse in the apartment of the latter located on the street Paxton in the district of the Petite-Bourgogne.
Following a 911 call, police officers went to the apartment building and discovered the bloody body of Benoit Beaulieu, also at the age of 52. His death was recorded on the spot.
Criminal records
Francine Valley was arrested shortly after at the scene of the crime. She has been extensively interviewed by investigators and has finally appeared on Wednesday at the palais de justice of Montreal. The fifty-year-old with the heavy criminal past has been accused of murder in the second degree. She remains in custody.
This was not the first time that Mrs Valley had to appear before a judge. The mother of this family has already dealt with the justice in the past for stories of aggravated assault against a peace officer, break and enter with intent, theft, fraud, threats and obstructing a peace officer.
It would have killed his mother
The murder of Benoit Beaulieu is the second to occur in Montreal since the beginning of the year.
The first had taken place on 28 January, while a 34 year old woman allegedly stabbed and fatally wounded his mother in the condo they shared in the borough of LaSalle. Meng Ye would itself be denounced to the police by calling 911 soon after the crime. Accused of premeditated murder, she remains behind bars and will return to court in about two weeks.
The two suspect’s first two homicides of the year are women. Finding is rather surprising, considering that last year, out of the 54 people arrested for murder in the province, there were only four women, according to a compilation of Log, validated by the police corps of quebec.
