The young Ariel Jeffrey Kouakou, 10 years old, is still missing to the call, a week after his disappearance. The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) has mandated Monday morning a group of divers who ratissera the rivière des Prairies in search of the child. For those who have not followed this sad story, here is what happened during the last seven days.

    AMBER ALERT

On Tuesday, an Amber alert is triggered in order to find Ariel, disappeared the day before. The young person has left the family home, Monday, about noon, to visit a friend in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville, Montreal. The SPVM decides at the very end of the evening to lift the Amber alert, but says that this decision does not affect the course of the investigation.

    CRY OF THE HEART

The parents of the young Ariel deliver a touching testimony Tuesday in which they claim to be devastated. “Ariel, I ask forgiveness. If you hear me, come home, we miss you”, has launched his father Kouadio Frederic Kouakou. He and his wife could not hold back their tears during the interview, 24 hours after the disappearance of their son.

    IMAGES OF YOUNG ARIEL

Wednesday, video taken by security cameras, located on the corner of boulevard Gouin Ouest and rue Letellier, shows Ariel heads over to his friend. Once there, a neighbor spotted the child, who knocks at the door. We review the boy some time later on another surveillance camera, a little further on the boulevard Gouin West. At 14h, a lady has noticed the boy in the park of the Boatmen. It is the last place known where the child was seen.

On Thursday, police reveal other images of the child, that circulates on the sidewalk. The many videos captured of the young man could make it possible for investigators to reconstruct the path taken by Ariel.

    HELP CITIZENS

While the police are still in search of the young Ariel, 72 hours after her disappearance, dozens of volunteers move to Ahuntsic-Cartierville in order to give a helping hand to find the boy.
