Experts believe that smart technology will enable the virologists to absolutely new level of activity, becoming adefective tool for studying the world of microorganisms, reports Rus.Media.

As a rule, the researchers applied recently for viruses by the method of sequencing DNA in samples taken from different environments. In this case, the problem was that scientists could look for only those organisms which are already known to science at that time, as the unknown object remained out of sight virologists. Artificial intelligence has solved this problem because it can process vast amounts of information and identify potentially dangerous microorganisms. To date, this way it was possible to find almost 6 million new viruses. And this, according to the researchers, is not the limit.
