    MONTREAL – Two armed men reportedly broke into an apartment and opened fire on the occupier of the premises, in the borough of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, in Montreal, on Tuesday evening.

    According to what was stated by the victim to the Montreal police, the two assailants entered his housing of Sainte-Catherine street, near the avenue William-David, around 21: 30. The attackers reportedly opened fire, injuring the tenant, a man of 45 years, at the bottom of the body.

    The life of the victim is not threatened. The man was transported to hospital as a precautionary measure, ” said Audrey-Anne Picard, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
