The group citizen The Pack, will launch a manifesto, the next week, in order to define their political claims.

This was announced by the spokesperson of the organization, Sylvain “Maïkan” Brouillette, during an interview on CHOI Radio X, on Wednesday.

The one who has left the group identity last December because of internal strife is once again a spokesperson, has he specified in the beginning of the interview. “This was not supposed to come out in the media. This is a chicane-house.”

First invited to comment on the statements of Justin Trudeau, who has treated, without naming it, his organization of the “band of nonos” on Monday night in Quebec city, the spokesperson of The Pack has had the opportunity to explain the positions of his group and what they strive for in its action programme to be unveiled in the coming days.

The manifesto “is going to talk about the things that” will “give our position clearly at the political level, and it will enable the stakeholders of the different parties position themselves on this issue”, he explained to the microphone of Maurais Live.

    “Get rid of the liberals”

“You know that we are in an election year. Our goal is clear, it is to remind Quebecers that it is necessary to get rid of the liberals in power in the fall. This is our idea to us. You are not obligated to be okay,” he said, stating that the organization will invite its members to vote for the Parti québécois (PQ) or the Coalition avenir Québec (CAQ).

“At this time, we don’t want to say who we would vote because we don’t want to scramble the cards, but it is sure that we will not vote for the liberals. Our goal is to clear the land of power”, said Sylvain Brouillette before adding “Québec solidaire are even worse than the liberals. Their positions are clearly anti-quebec as for me. I find it ridiculous positions that Québec solidaire will adopt.”

    Framing the immigration

Among the priorities that target The Pack, Sylvain “Maïkan” Brouillette noted the debate of identity and states that his organization is “not against immigration”.

“One of the commitments that we want is that they [the political parties] are positioning themselves clearly on illegal immigration because it is still a scourge. […] It is necessary that Quebec will be able to welcome the immigrants at a pace that he is able to integrate them and offer them conditions of life without it costing a fortune to taxpayers,” he said.

According to him, the integration of immigrants including by the regions.

“Do programs to facilitate the learning of the French language, making programs to install in the region instead of the install in the city centre of Montreal, where there is no work and where we communitarianism. In a region like here Chaudière-Appalaches, all plants have banners reading “we are committed”. It lacks the full staff. There are 50 00 jobs in Chaudière-Appalaches, therefore, these people, we could integrate, we could install them in region and they will be much more likely to integrate, have a good well paid job because when there is a lack of workers, I can tell you that the wages are good. We want to offer them good living conditions. It will solve a problem as economic in Quebec, because we are in need of workers. I think that immigration is poorly managed currently and it would be of advantage as many of the newcomers that the québec population and of business people”, pleaded he.

    Discussion of ideas

Concerning the identity of québec, Sylvain Brouillette invites people to discuss.

“We don’t try to please everyone. We had our ideas, then we are in a democracy and what you want to do it is a debate of ideas. If people don’t agree and well, they need to say it, but not that they have to respond with insults insignificant, as mr. Trudeau has done, because you can see what it does. It gives a sterile debate. We what we want is a debate of ideas. This is how it’s done to advance a society and that we will evolve our society. And the people who don’t agree, they tell us why and they say with arguments and maybe we will ourselves to change your mind and it’s going to make us do a journey everyone and we will come up with ideas that will make positive changes to quebec society in terms of immigration at the level of identity.”
