OTTAWA – After an autumn marked by a resignation to the ranks of its executive, the Forum jeunesse du Bloc québécois (FJBQ) has a new president. It is a former press officer for the party in Ottawa, Camille Goyette-Gingras, who takes the helm of the organization.

She said not to worry about the tensions that have recently leaded to the youth wing.

At the end of October, four of the six members of the national executive of the FJBQ, whose president, Anthony Blond, have resigned en bloc. In a letter sent to the media, they blamed in particular the party of having abandoned the work of mobilization and do not have a will to reorganize.

“I met with the resigned and I had all their collaboration. They remain members of the Block. Personally, I have not met the party the problems that they noted in their letter,” explains the activist, 24-year-old, who makes a return to her studies after having spent almost two years on Parliament hill.

She is in post on an interim basis since the end of November, and up until the beginning of 2018. His appointment for a term of one year, will then be submitted to a vote of the delegates of each of the ridings in Quebec.
