Southport — South african Branden Grace has brought a map of 62 for the third round of the british Open, setting the record for the best score in a major tournament, Saturday.

A short rolled two feet has earned him the record. Several players had got a 63. The golfer’s 29-year-old recorded eight birdies, including five on the front nine.

Its cumulative is less than four (206), two strokes off the leader, Jordan Spieth. This last began his round shortly before 11: 00 am in the company of Matt Kuchar, who is at least four.

The Canadian Austin Connelly is deadlocked in ninth place, at least one. He’s only 20 years old. Connelly grew up in Texas but he has a dual citizenship, his father being a native of Toronto.

In the group at least one is also the defending champion, Henrik Stenson.

Shaun Norris, Scott Hend and Jason Day appear normal after a course of 65 on Saturday. They occupy the 12th place in the table.

A dozen players have entered the normal mid-way through the tournament, including Sergio Garcia, the defending champion of the masters Tournament.
