Three suspects, including two minors, were arrested last week on at least two break-ins were committed in residences to the west of the island of Montreal.

The two alleged crimes took place during the same day, the 29th of January, in Dollard-des-Ormeaux.

Quickly, the investigators were able to make a connection between the two events, and a suspect, who could be at the origin of a number of offences similar to that occurred during the last year.

“The man seemed to always proceed in the same way, has been reported to Montreal police in a press release. He was accompanied by persons under the age of thirteen he was driving in residential areas. The young accomplices knocked on the doors of residences and break then in the select an unoccupied home to steal various items while the man was waiting for them outside.”

As a result of various steps of the investigation, the police proceeded to the arrest of Mouad Shafiq El Idrissi, 19 years old, and his two alleged accomplices are minors. The trio has literally been taken hand in the bag, then they were arrested by the time they were in the process of committing a theft in a residence in Dollard-des-Ormeaux.

Mouad Shafiq El Idrissi has appeared at the palais de justice de Montréal under the charges of breaking and entering and conspiracy.

His two alleged accomplices have also appearing in the youth Room and have been charged with break and enter, conspiracy, possession of burglars tools and receiving stolen property over $5000.

Investigators have reason to believe that Mouad Shafiq El Idrissi would be linked to other similar folders, including the investigations are still in progress.
