BELOEIL, québec – Two persons who would be related to a spate of break and enters that occurred in the Montérégie, Estrie and Centre-du-Québec have been arrested in Beloeil, québec, through the Sûreté du Québec and the Régie intermunicipale de police Richelieu Saint-Laurent.
Steven Lavigne, 25, of Drummondville, appeared Monday at the palais de justice in Saint-Hyacinthe to face a charge of breaking and entering. A 20 year-old woman was also arrested on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
The two suspects have been located near the scene of a break and enter that occurred in a restaurant of the rue Duvernay, Beloeil, during the night of 27 January, said the SQ in a press release.
The police officers also conducted a search in Drummondville, as well as in a mini-warehouse storage facility in Granby, where the seized items might solve a wave of break-and-enter committed recently.
