For a second consecutive year, on the eve of the filing of his budget, the minister of Finance, Carlos Leitao, was offered a new pair of shoes Aldo, this time delivered by the owner of the company and montreal businessman Aldo Bensadoun.
As is the tradition, the minister of Finance received on Monday representatives of the media to his office to put on his new pair of shoes in front of the cameras.
Mr. Leitao has then loaned the game to a small staging in the course of which it was first unveiled, on the screen of his computer, what a pair it was decided to buy by Internet.

“I also have a little surprise for you, because even if I ordered the shoes it was not that long ago, it was delivered and if you will allow me, [ … ], I’m going to host that will provide me with the shoes”, said Mr. Leitao, ensuring that he had indeed paid the two taxes, even online.

“Absolutely, because it is a quebec company. I ordered the shoes and they are delivered by the owner of the company himself, a quebec-based family business”, he stressed, welcoming Mr. Bensadoun.
For those who are interested, checks made, the minister of Finance has indicated that his new shoes he would “like a glove”.

A budget based on the quality of life
Mr. Leitao has thus taken the opportunity to send a message to Netflix and other web giants of this world whose budget 2018-2019 will be marked.
“E-commerce is here to stay […], has recognized the minister. It is already a distribution channel that is very efficient, which is very widespread, and […] in Québec, we have the intention to put in place a tax fairness for all retailers of goods or services, (ensuring that they) perceive the sales tax.”

Around 110 G$
When asked by journalists, the minister of Finance has once again tried to detach himself from the label of austerity that many have attached to her government in the beginning of the mandate.
“Once again, there was no compression, he repeated. We slowed down the rate of growth of spending because it had to be done. […] It had to be done to be able to live within our means”.
“What we’re doing for two years already, he added, it is to ensure that it is well funded, and that it increases at the same rate as revenue growth.”
Will we have an increase in money spent on education? “In all budgets, there are always increasing, has been limited to say Mr. Leitao. It has never reduced the budgets… We are now on a budget… I think that one is to $ 110 billion.”
