Catheter into the ice-cream: any lawsuit brought by the family Francoeur

There would be no prosecution by the family Francoeur of Three-Rivers, despite the fact that three persons had eaten last Sunday of the ice cream Coaticook, in which was found a piece of catheter.

The members of the family have learned to their great relief, that their health was not threatened. After analysis of the object, a hématooncologue has confirmed that none of them had been infected. They will, therefore, not submit to another test.

In addition, the employees of the canadian Agency of food inspection were passed Tuesday in long hours to Coaticook, in Estrie, in order to check the progress of operations at the Laiterie de Coaticook, a company founded in 1940. Unless a major shift, there will be no reminder of the ice cream.

The inquiry now aims to find where is the catheter, which was found in the plastic container bought by the family Francoeur.

After having met several people in Coaticook, nobody said he was worried about eating again the popular ice cream.
