The president of the conseil central de Québec-Chaudière-Appalaches regions of the CNS, Ann Gingras, did not digest the exit of the federal minister Carla Qualtrough, who was mentioned Tuesday in Halifax that his government was not closed to the idea of giving even more contracts that the shipyard Irving.

The CSN, which represents several of the workers, of Davie met with the media, just prior to a point of release of the member of parliament for Quebec Jean-Yves Duclos in Wendake, quebec, on Wednesday afternoon.

“The shipyard Irving already has too many contracts,” said dr. Gingras. It is not able to deliver the goods within the time limits and the anticipated costs.”

The grouping of the suppliers of Davie on his side now intends to turn to the courts to overturn the award of many contracts already awarded by the federal government, in large part to the construction site Irving.

Approached on the subject, the prime minister Justin Trudeau has been very clear on the issue. “We’re not going to reopen the strategy of shipbuilding”, said the prime minister, while arguing that the

    Davie could get other contracts.

Because of lack of work, 400 employees have already lost their jobs and another 400 could follow in the next few days.
