Chief forensic scientist, Ministry of internal Affairs of the Russian Federation suspected of fraud

The head of the forensic Department of the MIA of the Russian Federation Pyotr Grishin and his Deputy Oleg Mazur suspected of fraud.

 

The Commissioner of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Irina Volk has informed that employees of the CSS and the FSB carried out an audit in respect of officials who are suspected of fraud. On the theft of funds during the procurement of forensic equipment has opened a criminal case. In this case the defendants are Lieutenant-General Petr Grishin and Colonel Oleg Mazur. Now, law enforcement officials conduct searches in the personal offices of the suspects. Also searched their houses and apartments. Irina Volk added that this General Grishin has submitted a letter of resignation.

In the RF IC reported that officials of the Department of the interior Ministry has concluded the state contract at an inflated price. These contracts were concluded with a company owned by the other suspects. The total damage is 80 million rubles.
