FORESTVILLE – The working atmosphere at the Town of Forestville has deteriorated for some time because of the poor management of human relations and organizational.

It is an independent firm commissioned by the municipality that came to this conclusion. Last year, the Town of Forestville had brushes with three of its officers who had filed harassment complaints against its director-general.

Measures had been taken by the city council, but the working atmosphere has remained tense. The report of the firm of Alia, however, gives possible solutions.

“For example, today, good management practices require the establishment of labour relations committee, and a management that is more participatory for our employees and the union, said the mayor Micheline Anctil. These are guidelines, but there are concrete actions to ask.”

All the municipal employees’, officers, employees and advisors, participated in a presentation of the report last week. A few weeks ago, the thirty employees had been encountered individually by the three advisors of the independent firm.

An action plan should be put in place by the end of the month of August to calm the tensions within the machinery of municipal government.
