COATICOOK | Give a little respite a few days of Christmas to families in need, it is the objective of the 120 volunteers who came to put hand to the dough, Tuesday, at Coaticook, in Estrie, in the volunteer Centre.

We cooked the meat pies, chicken pies, soup and crisps with apples.

“For the past 10 years, we want to help the families of the region who are in need. This is why we are preparing all of these dishes on the occasion of this great Kitchen collective Holiday”, explains Olivier Girondier, volunteer resources coordinator of the Centre d’action bénévole de la MRC de Coaticook.

This year, we will give the families of nearly 600 meat pies, 300 chicken pies, 300 crisps, apples and 400 litres of soup.

“It was a lot of food to prepare, but I want to be this every year to do my part in society. There are so many people who need them,” stressed his side Émilie Drouin, a volunteer for a third year.

In addition to food, the Large kitchen, collective Celebrations of Coaticook will also be given toys to 140 children of the municipality.
