THREE-RIVERS | part of dock yet freshly rebuilt at the port of Trois-Rivières has shrunk in the last days.

A problem with the seals in the structure could be in question. The terminal number 13 had to be redone at a cost of $ 25 million and had formed the centerpiece of the development plan focused on 2020 of the Port.

At the opening, last August, the port authorities had assured that this dock was going to have a life of 60 years.

The Pomerleau group that had carried out the work, without delay, the repairs are done, either. It is not known which of the port or the contractor will pay the invoice additional.

The Port authorities have not wanted to comment. They are, however, pleased that no worker is found on-site at the time of the collapse. The port operations were not affected.
