In a balance sheet as of the end of the session with a strong flavour to the election, the prime minister Philippe Couillard delivered a load to the bottom of the train against its rival caquiste François Legault, who he accuses of making “the policy of low floor”.

At a time when the CAQ has multiplied efforts to attract the vote of English-speaking, while the liberal Party to retain this electorate is generally favourable, it is in English that the prime minister has pulled out the heavy artillery.

Mr. Legault is the “simple policy”, “policy of low floor”, has dropped out of the liberal leader.

A little earlier in the French, Mr. Couillard has called Mr. Legault for “politician of the old century”.

    The “new Quebec”

“I’m going to let him do this old policy. What we are interested in, this is the new Quebec”, has hammered the prime minister, repeating what seems to be the new trademark of the liberal Party a year for the next electoral appointment.

Good management of public finances, margins of maneuvers recovered to be reinvested in health and education, Mr. Couillard believes the path taken by his government since the last general election is “exemplary”.

A balance sheet that is “very far from the portrait constantly pessimistic” painted by François Legault, has pestered the prime minister.

“The CAQ, it is anything, it is constantly no matter what. It is almost a caricature, “said Mr. Couillard, who has slipped a few words about the leader of the parti québecois Jean-François Lisée, the” master of the tactical day to day.

Saddened by his defeat in Louis-Hébert

On the last day of the parliamentary session, the leader of the QLP is back briefly on his defeat in Louis-Hébert, the former county of Sam Hamad, who was once a castle, strong liberal, who has passed into the hands of the caquiste Geneviève Guilbault.

“It has made me a lot of pain, the partial of Louis-Hébert,” admitted Mr. Couillard. He explained the failure of his political training, in part, to the departure, in mid-campaign, candidate, controversial, Éric Tétrault. Mr. Couillard has also pointed out, “in the backdrop of all this history of nick change” offered by the CAQ.

The liberal leader promises to resume. “I’m a fighter soft, (but) I’m a little more tough as the world thinks”, he warned.

    Legault defends

The leader of the Coalition avenir Québec, François Legault, was quick to defend himself by presenting its balance sheet as of the end of the session a few minutes after that of the government.

“Why he stole all the ideas of the CAQ, if this is not good what we are proposing,” retorted the head caquiste to the prime minister, who accused him to say anything.

François Legault has been a pleasure to return the ball to Philippe Couillard.

“The way that mr. Couillard made the policy is not as he had announced at the beginning [of his term], found Mr. Legault. He said that he would be respectful. He would do politics differently. We all see that this is not what he has done. And it is his choice.”
