On February 20, a dinner for the feast of a friend turns into a nightmare for Marie-Eve Ducharme, 34 years; she is convinced that it was made of the date-rape drug in his drink.

The young woman is with her husband in a well-known restaurant in Three Rivers.

After three drinks, this is the black hole, the “blackout” as they say.

“Just before that, I was dancing, I was correct. Ten minutes later, I was lying on a bench, I lost the card, I was no longer there,” says the official, who keeps a very sour taste for this evening.

Unfortunately, the case of Marie-Eve is not unique. Other young women have agreed to tell their story, including a teacher of 27 years. In December, accompanied by a friend, she goes into a resto-bar in the city centre of Trois-Rivières, located on the rue Des Forges. After the third glass of wine, at the end of the meal, it is the complete amnesia. They have no memory of the rest of the evening.

Few women are complaining. The police of Trois-Rivières confirms that the five folders relating to the date-rape drug were under investigation in 2017: one has been confirmed, a non-founded, non-resolved, and two are still under investigation.

Marie-Eve Ducharme completed his evening in the hospital. No blood sample was taken. She then filed a complaint to the police of Trois-Rivières.

“I am convinced that something has been put in my drink. I will never know probably who put this out, is it going to help for a police investigation, I don’t think. This is stupid. They (at the hospital) I have just left to enter, the drug is a party, the patient, too.”
